Men's Tennis - Sun, Feb. 13, 2011
Grinnell, IA-The Graceland men's tennis team entered the 2011 spring campaign ranked 9th nationally and primed for another national tournament run Sunday afternoon in Grinnell, Iowa.

Facing both Grinnell College and Truman State University, the Jackets took care of business in dominating fashion.  In the first match against Grinnell, Graceland easily won 7-2 but the surprise match was senior star Remy Caffardo,  (Romans, France) who came in ranked 2nd nationally among all NAIA men's tennis players, fell in straight sets to Grinnell player Juan Carlos-Perez 6-2, 6-0.

In the second match of the afternoon Caffardo and the Jackets bounced back with an even stronger 9-0 win over NCAA DII opponent Truman State University.  Caffardo dominated his match winning in straight sets as the Jackets made it a clean sweep.

The wins put the #9 Yellowjackets at 2-0 on the young season.  They will next face NCAA Division I opponent University of Illinois-Chicago in Des Moines, IA next Saturday afternoon.  Stay tuned to the Yellowjacket athletics website for continuing coverage of the Graceland men's tennis team and all of Jacket athletics.
